ZeusSDR — software defined radio station console

Zeus — Software Defined Radio

Station console · OpenHPSDR

A WebGL-native console for Hermes-Lite 2 and ANAN-class radios. Click-to-tune panadapter, Zeus-grade DSP, protected transmit — on Windows, macOS, and Linux.

Sweep to tune · click the band to key a carrier

P1 + P2 native Both OpenHPSDR protocols, discovered in parallel on your LAN.
WDSP inside The DSP engine behind Thetis, loaded natively via P/Invoke.
Four platforms Windows x64 and ARM, macOS, and Linux installers.
Open engine GPL v2+ station engine, in the PowerSDR–OpenHPSDR–Thetis lineage.

Signal chain

Everything an operating position needs, in one console

Panadapter in 2D — and 3D

WebGL-rendered spectrum and waterfall with click-to-tune, zoom, and drag-pan. One button extrudes the band into a WebGPU 3D surface where time becomes depth — same tuning contract, same overlays.

Digital, without the plumbing

Native FT8 / FT4 and FreeDV digital voice inside the console — decodes, auto-sequenced QSOs, automatic clock-drift compensation. No WSJT-X, no virtual audio cables, no CAT loop-back.

Transmit, protected

PTT, TUNE, and mic uplink with TX stage meters, SWR-trip and TX-timeout protection. PureSignal linearization on Protocol 2 with four-patch convergence.

A broadcast TX chain — plus your plugins

Noise gate, 10-band EQ, compressor, exciter, bass, and reverb in signal-flow order, with off-air Preview and per-block A/B bypass — then VST3 and Audio Unit hosting for the studio effects you already own.

A logbook that blooms

A slim docked table that pops out into a full logging workspace: contact history, a 3D NASA globe, DX radar, and DXCC / WAS / grids analytics. ADIF in and out, LoTW via your own TQSL.

The whole station in one bundle

Amplifier panels for RF2K-S, KPA500, and SPE Taurus, VK3AMP Band Director, HF-AUTO tuner, ZeusChat operator voice and text, and a WAV recorder — all switches in one feature catalog, updated as one.

The feature suite

Everything ships with Zeus. You choose what appears.

One bundle, one update — a catalog of switches instead of a folder of installers. Scroll through the console's state of the art; every frame below is the shipping UI.

Interface

A dense station console that still scans cleanly

Zeus operating on 40 metres with the logbook, worked-the-world map, bandwidth filter, panadapter and waterfall, S-meter, VFO, TX chain, amplifier control, and transmit stage meters all on screen.

Verified hardware

Tuned on real radios, not simulators

Protocol 1

Hermes-Lite 2

Receive is solid; transmit verified on FM and TUNE. Drive and receive paths are HL2-specific, not generic assumptions.

RX + TX verified
Protocol 2

ANAN G2 & G2 MkII

Receive verified 80m–10m on Orion MkII firmware, with a clean on-air carrier via TUNE and MOX. PureSignal converging on G2 MkII.

RX + TX verified
Protocol 2

ANAN-100D & Angelia

Receive verified, with S-ATT step attenuator and preamp control wired straight to the radio.

RX verified

Running a Hermes, Metis, or older ANAN board? Those aren't wired up yet — the project is open, and a PR from someone with the hardware moves it to the top of the list. Bring your radio →
